Surface Drip Irrigation – Made up with pipes and connection running above the soil surface. To install surface drip irrigation, lay pipes above the ground and connect them to emitters. Use connectors and fittings to join various sections of pipes.

How to Make a Drip Irrigation System Connection

  1. Arrange the mainline pipes on the ground.
  2. Fit the pipe to the tank or water source using a connector, either tank, or to a pump etc…
  3. Make a connection of the mainline pipes to the sub mainline pipes. Use Tee fittings or elbows where suitable.
  4. Make holes in the sub mainline pipes and insert the rubber rings. Connect the Sub main line pipes to the delivery pipes using start connectors.
  5. Lay drip emitters on the beds in a space of 1M apart.
  6. Connect drip emitters to the laterals.
  7. Open water connection to test the system. Allow water to run for about 10 minutes before sealing the end caps to flush out dirt.
  8. Close the ends of drip emitters using end caps.
